Embarking on a mission to revolutionise how young people access and understand the industry of human resources, Springpod joins forces with the CIPD.
Springpod, an innovative careers exploration platform for young people, is thrilled to announce its partnership with The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the professional association for human resource management professionals.
Together, they're set to launch an immersive virtual work experience programme, designed to enable young people to delve deeper into the industry, learn directly from seasoned professionals and experience the varied world of HR - at no cost to them.
This partnership with the CIPD brings forth an experience programme where students aged 15+ can experience the real-world intricacies of the industry without geographical or physical limitations.
Key Highlights of the Programme:
- Virtual Industry Exploration: Enrolees will dive deep into the nuances of HR as an industry, uncovering the challenges and rewards each one holds.
- Learning from Professionals: This is often such a major challenge for young people. With the CIPD's programme young people can attend webinars with those in the industry who've walked the walk - benefitting from their insights and expanding their professional horizon.
- Access to Opportunity: By breaking down physical and geographical barriers, those young people who are most underserved by their current careers education and lack of professional connections, can accelerate their understanding and development.
Speaking on the collaboration, Sam Hyams, Springpod CEO, said:
"We’re delighted to enable young people to deepen their understanding of an industry that affects the working lives of so many. The students in this programme are the next generation of HR professionals and it’s important for us to partner with the experts at the CIPD to make it as informative and accessible as possible. I’m looking forward to reading student feedback and seeing their thoughts and opinions on the HR industry after the programme.”
Echoing the sentiment, Membership Director at the CIPD, David D’Souza, commented:
“As a professional body we have a unique role in supporting the next generation of talent. We want the profession to flourish and to exert an increasing positive influence on the success of organisations and the quality of employees' working lives. We are delighted to partner with Springpod to open up this world more.”
Sally Eley, Head of Trust at the CIPD, added: “This is a great opportunity for young people to find out about the opportunities which a career in the people profession can lead to and really get a flavour of the jobs on offer. The virtual nature of Springpod means that any young person can take part in the programme eliminating many of the barriers which can traditionally exist in accessing this kind of experience.”
The programme is set to kick off on the 23rd October and will run for two weeks, encompassing a myriad of different learning modules, video content, interactive quizzes, activities and webinars.
