Liverpool City Region Careers Hub has partnered with Springpod to provide insights into a career as an Allied Health Professional for students across the Liverpool City Region.

The Careers Hub, managed by Growth Platform - Liverpool City Region Growth Company are on a mission to inspire young people about the interesting career pathways that Liverpool City Region has to offer. 

Working with Springpod the first programme will feature Allied Health Profession roles. With over 350 different careers within the healthcare sector, allied health professions play a vital role in treating, rehabilitating and improving the lives of patients, which is why the LCR Careers Hub chose to work with Springpod to power a ‘Creating Careers on Our Doorstep - Allied Health Professions’ programme.

The programme will provide a powerful insight into what it takes to succeed at the role, the different routes available, as well as the responsibilities and progression opportunities that can be found within each career. They’ll also be an opportunity to hear from those currently working in an allied health profession and a module dedicated to getting career ready. 

The virtual work experience concept was built and created by Springpod, a specialist careers platform that helps young people explore the world of work and university before they apply. Launched in 2018, they have over 5,000 diverse new members joining the platform every week, with 63% female and 49% BAME students currently making up the overall network. 

As part of Springpod’s mission to provide equal access to opportunity, it empowers the next generation of talent and enables them to take control of their futures. Their online platforms and programmes aim to educate, upskill and prepare young people to help them make that all-important career and further education choices.
