Coventry Building Society partners with Springpod to provide insight into the world of work and the careers available within the business.

Coventry Building Society has created a virtual work experience programme for year 10 students across the UK. Students will gain valuable insights into both the business and how to prepare for their future careers. The programme is part of a community project that will help benefit over 1000 students in the wider school community each year, helping Coventry Building Society to broaden their secondary school outreach beyond their partnership schools in Coventry.

The programme will provide a powerful insight into the organisation - including career and departmental spotlights - while also helping students understand how to build their own personal brand and how they can succeed at networking. There will also be the opportunity to hear from those currently working within the business to learn more about the numerous opportunities available - from graduate programmes to apprenticeships and more.

The virtual work experience concept was built and created by Springpod, a specialist careers platform that helps young people explore the world of work and university before they apply. Launched in 2018, they have over 5,000 diverse new members joining the platform every week, with 63% female and 49% ethnic minority students currently making up the overall network.

As part of Springpod’s mission to provide equal access to opportunity, it empowers the next generation of talent and enables them to take control of their futures. Their online platforms and programmes aim to educate, upskill and prepare young people to help them make that all-important career and further education choices.
